My Name is Mike and I am 25 years old. I discovered this unique craft/art of woodworking through an intervention that changed my life, from drugs and alcohol that is now overwhelming my generation.
Woodworking has given me the opportunity to express myself in ways that I could not even imagine before. I have now been sober now for 3 years and owe all of my recent success to the lord, all of my immediate family and most of all the art of woodworking who has stuck by my side through thick and thin. It saved my life and my future.
I have now been woodworking for just over 4 years. During that time I have learned so much, and continue to learn everyday. Woodworking for me started off as hobby. It is now my life style. Furniture making, joinery, spindle and bowl turning, box making, built-ins, and even cabinets. I love it all. I love the art and the creativity of it all.
I have set my goals high and plan to embark on this journey that all started when I picked up a piece a wood.
